History & Location
The Woods family has been at the heart of Australia’s grain industry for more than 60 years. Now comprising six vertically integrated business divisions, The Woods Group continues to contribute to the strengthening of Queensland’s agricultural economy.
In the early 1950’s, the Woods family commenced production of winter and summer crops on its original properties of Billa Billa and Murra Cul Cul in southern Queensland.
Since then, the company has helped pioneer best practice farming techniques and integrated new thinking to produce high yields year on year.
In 2001, The Woods Group of companies expanded with the purchase of a grain processing and storage facility in the town of Goondiwindi.
The company now grows, processes, markets and transports cereal and pulse crops for a variety Australian and international markets, with the experience and knowledge to meet specific customer needs.
