SHEEP FEED

FINISHER PELLET

Sheep Finisher Pellet

Woods Sheep Finisher Pellet is a medicated stock feed with minimum 22% NDF suitable to be fed as a complete feedlot finisher to lambs over 30kg live weight destined for fat lamb market.

This product is composed of hammer milled grains (maize, sorghum, barley and/or wheat), protein meals/seeds, fibre products (mill run, hulls), urea, macro-minerals, trace minerals and vitamins. Typically Woods Sheep Finisher Pellet contains 33mg/kg of Lasalocid sodium, a rumen modifier that helps improve feed conversion.

Feeding Guidelines

It is important to gradually introduce pellet feeds so that lambs can adjust from pasture to pellet-based diet. Supply Woods Sheep All Rounder Pellet gradually in troughs for the first 10-14 days to avoid bloat, rumen acidosis and death. Once sheep are adapted to a higher grain ration, transition to Woods Finisher Pellet until target market specifications are reached.

Before supplying this high grain ration, preferably feed sheep palatable grass/cereal hay for 1 to 2 days to ensure rumen fill and adequate rumination.

Once sheep are adapted to a higher grain ration, transition to Woods Sheep Finisher Pellets until target market specifications are reached.
